Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate monthly and annual closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and variance analysis for management.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Conduct internal audits and reconcile bank statements to identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
