Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budget preparation and forecasting.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
