Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Analyze variance reports and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Lead internal controls implementation and SOX compliance initiatives
- Manage multi-entity consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial reviews
- Develop and maintain departmental budgets and forecasting models
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Dynamics
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and California tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with Power BI/Tableau visualization experience
- Proven track record in process improvement and system implementations
- Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
