Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead accounts payable/receivable operations with strict adherence to GAAP
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic insights to leadership
- Prepare and file quarterly tax returns with supporting documentation
- Oversee budget forecasting and variance analysis for departmental heads
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial audits and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate sector
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume environments
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and financial audits
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
