Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and assist in external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and provide necessary documentation to external tax advisors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
