Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct financial audits and ensure regulatory compliance (federal/state)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Mentor junior accountants and provide technical guidance on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with problem-solving abilities
- Valid New Mexico CPA license or ability to obtain within 6 months
