Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end monthly and annual financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments are properly documented and recorded.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and long-term financial forecasting.
- Lead the audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing accurate tax filings and managing tax provisions.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and meeting strict deadlines.
