Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the complete month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements by monitoring financial reporting and internal controls.
- Assist in the annual external audit process by providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
