Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for monthly and annual audits.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and implement internal controls.
- Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and contribute to the development of departmental policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
