Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure financial accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including Balance Sheets and P&Ls, ensuring full compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform in-depth account reconciliations and investigate and resolve any variances.
- Assist external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely processing.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is strongly preferred; CMA is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks Online).
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
