The Role
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily financial operations of our clients and internal departments, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and optimizing financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintaining strong vendor and client relationships.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and working with external auditors.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
