Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- General Ledger: Manage and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and properly classified.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor information, and manage accounts receivable collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the monthly payroll process, ensuring all deductions and withholdings are calculated correctly.
- Compliance: Ensure the company complies with federal, state, and local tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Budgeting: Assist in the budget preparation process and provide variance analysis to management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of ethical standards and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
