What You Will Do:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting and managing complex accounting tasks. Your expertise will directly support our executive team in navigating the complex financial landscape of San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies with speed and precision.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, variance analysis, and budget forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to facilitate seamless audits and tax filings.
- Maintain a comprehensive fixed asset register and oversee depreciation schedules.
- Develop and document internal controls to mitigate financial risk and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong preference for experience in the technology or financial services sector.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros).
- Deep understanding of California tax laws and financial reporting regulations.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior accounting staff.
