Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations for multiple accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support senior management decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collection of funds.
- Support the external audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
