The Role:
We are looking for a candidate who excels at managing the full accounting cycle while providing strategic insights to leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and optimizing internal processes.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- General Ledger: Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for various accounts.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with federal and state regulations, including tax filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency using modern financial software.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and cross-functional departments to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Auditing: Assist external auditors during annual audits and maintain necessary documentation.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor and manage cash flow, vendor relationships, and billing cycles.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems; Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial analysis, and budgeting principles.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset.
