Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform variance analysis on budget vs. actuals and provide actionable insights to management.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and ensure compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and process efficiency.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are recorded accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and budgeting principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
