Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with precision and timeliness
- Conduct thorough reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Lead audits and respond to regulatory inquiries with comprehensive documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with complex formulas
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven track record of managing full accounting cycles for high-volume transactions
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting and presentations
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
