Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all financial entries are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal standards.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and track accounts receivable to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide monthly variance analysis to management.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization remains compliant with federal and state tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
