Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations while maintaining internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Maintain accurate general ledger and subsidiary accounts in SAP/Oracle systems
- Prepare executive-level financial statements and variance analysis reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory reporting
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven ability to thrive in remote work environments with self-discipline
