As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, preparing key reports, and collaborating with leadership to drive financial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency in our remote accounting workflows.
- Provide financial forecasting and variance analysis to senior management.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel functions.
- Deep understanding of US tax laws, financial regulations, and GAAP principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of working independently in a remote environment.
