Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for departmental heads
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial audits
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar cloud accounting platforms
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and variance analysis
- Proven ability to manage complex month-end closing processes independently
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders
