Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards
- Coordinate external audits and tax preparation activities with third-party providers
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain and enhance accounting systems, including QuickBooks and ERP implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 in a remote capacity
- Expert proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
- Advanced skills in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Oracle/SAP experience a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex accounting cycles and multi-state compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for remote stakeholder collaboration
- Experience in public accounting or corporate finance environments
