Job Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations. This is a critical role in our finance department, supporting strategic decision-making through precise data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with California state tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify areas for process improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and California tax laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
