Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger entries and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filings.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and efficiency.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable workflows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification or active pursuit thereof is highly desired.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
