Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with US GAAP standards.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to maintain high financial integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to automate workflows and generate necessary reports.
- Ensure the integrity of financial information by maintaining organized and secure filing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role.
- Proven proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of financial regulations, internal controls, and US GAAP principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
