Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal control policies.
- Develop and improve financial reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for remote collaboration.
