Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger, including account reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and expense reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
