Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with attention to GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and general ledger reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure operational integrity
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations and compliance reviews
- Create financial forecasts and variance reports for strategic decision-making
- Maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance (NY/OH focus beneficial)
