Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of AP and AR processes, including reconciling statements, approving invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure all financial activities are compliant with local and federal regulations, including tax laws and SOX requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency and implement streamlined workflows to reduce errors and save time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Remote Readiness: Self-motivated individual with a proven track record of managing time effectively in a remote work setting.
