Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary for executive leadership
- Manage complex month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead internal audits and SOX compliance initiatives across multi-entity portfolios
- Develop and implement process improvements using NetSuite and other accounting software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic financial modeling
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and NY State financial regulations
- Mentor junior accountants through virtual training sessions and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in complex financial data
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and NY-specific regulations
- Exceptional communication skills for virtual stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a remote work environment
