Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and annual accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, federal, state, and local regulations, and tax laws.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
