Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliation activities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems including QuickBooks and ERP platforms
- Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software platforms
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote and in-person teams
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
