Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting and prepare accurate monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies and GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a major plus.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
