Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted timely.
- Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and external auditors to facilitate smooth audits and reviews.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) are mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
