Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and perform variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions with internal records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for business initiatives.
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents and contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
