Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, overseeing the monthly and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance reports, and management presentations.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll entries and quarterly tax filings.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules and capital expenditure tracking.
- Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and provide requested documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA eligibility is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-motivated, and disciplined in a remote work environment.
