Your Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Your day-to-day will involve:

- Oversee the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare complex statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC tax regulations and assist with external audits.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accuracy.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement new financial software tools to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP, tax legislation, and corporate governance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and discretion regarding sensitive financial information.
