Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic remote team. Based in the United Kingdom, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring strict compliance with UK GAAP standards.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK while collaborating seamlessly with our finance department.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations and UK tax legislation.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Oversee and manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or Part-Qualified with significant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and corporate tax requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience working effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
