Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts with precision.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements.
- Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
