Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and fraud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support executive decision-making and business growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA, CMA) is a significant plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
