Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly payroll and tax filings, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and support strategic initiatives.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proven proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations (specifically regarding Illinois and Indiana tax codes).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting with excellent time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
