Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and maintaining an organized audit trail.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and QuickBooks or SAP is required.
- Certifications: Active CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
