Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and complex journal entries
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors for seamless compliance
- Develop and implement budgeting forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Optimize accounting processes through automation and system improvements
- Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on financial best practices
- Ensure accurate tax preparation and reporting for federal and state requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-discipline
