Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to GAAP standards
- Manage general ledger operations and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive stakeholders
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles for multiple business units
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with auditors during external examinations
- Mentor junior accounting staff on technical best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/Sage a plus)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
