Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
- Support the external audit process by providing required documentation and schedules.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve reporting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely with high self-discipline and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
