Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and ensure timely processing
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and maintain compliance with GAAP/SEC regulations
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure accuracy
- Analyze budget variances and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Lead special projects including process improvements and system implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with VBA
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and financial audits
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities to present complex financial data clearly
