Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and variance analyses for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
