As part of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Compliance: Assist with tax preparation, filings, and audits to ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance data integrity.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and operations teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
