Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with precision
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and California state financial regulations
- Lead reconciliation activities for bank accounts, investments, and intercompany transactions
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and advanced accounting software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record in month-end closing and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with daily payroll systems and contractor compensation models
- Remote work experience with strong time management skills
