Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and review tax documents, compliance filings, and audit schedules
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Lead special projects including budgeting forecasting and process automation
- Mentor junior accountants and provide financial guidance to non-finance stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in public accounting or multi-state company operations
